Pyramid scheme
The Pi project is just a giant pyramid scheme. This project has been around for 8 years and nothing has happened. The amount of Pi you “mine” is based on how many people you invite. You can only “mine” using an account linked to you via social media, email or phone number. You have to join using a invite code from someone else. You need to open the app once a day, press a button, and watch an ad just to keep “mining”. Also, you can close the app and it keeps “mining”. That’s not how traditional cryptocurrency mining works. This app is just a gimmick to try to lure users in so the developers/people behind the project can profit off of ad revenue and your data. But if you insist to “mine some Pi”, prepare to be disappointed.
